Senior AC Technician

The Senior AC Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing advanced-level installation, repair, and maintenance tasks related to air conditioning (AC) and refrigeration systems. This role requires technical expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex AC system issues, as well as leading a team of AC technicians. The Senior AC Technician must demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of HVAC principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain a variety of AC and refrigeration systems, including split systems, central AC units, rooftop units, and refrigeration units.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex AC system malfunctions and develop effective repair strategies.
• Lead and supervise a team of AC technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on AC systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform advanced-level tasks such as system charging, refrigerant recovery, and component replacement.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and installations performed.
• Collaborate with other departments or contractors for system upgrades, installations, or major repairs.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in AC and refrigeration systems.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in all work activities.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and explaining technical aspects of AC systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized HVAC program or apprenticeship is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an AC Technician, with demonstrated progression to a senior or leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of AC and refrigeration systems, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant aspects.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex AC system issues.
