About the role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant you will play a crucial role in the financial management and accounting operations of our organization. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and executing various financial tasks, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, and providing valuable insights and analysis to support decision-making processes. .

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Month-end and Year-end Closing: Coordinate and participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciling accounts, reviewing journal entries, and preparing financial reports. Ensure all financial activities are accurately recorded and documented.
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger by reviewing and posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and resolving any discrepancies or issues. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger data.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on key financial metrics, trends, and variances. Identify areas of improvement, cost-saving opportunities, or potential risks, and make recommendations to management.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing financial models, analyzing historical data, and collaborating with department heads to gather relevant information. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.
Internal Controls and Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies. Perform regular audits and reviews to identify control weaknesses or compliance gaps, and recommend and implement corrective actions.
Taxation and Audit Support: Assist in tax planning and compliance activities, including preparing and reviewing tax returns and supporting documentation. Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process and provide necessary information and explanations.
Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations. Implement best practices and streamline workflows where applicable.
Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree or MBA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years UAE experience in Real Estate as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
Proficient in using accounting software and financial management systems. Experience required with Quickbooks ERP systems preferred. Mandatory experience with First Bit required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial records and reports.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
