CSSD Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CSSD Technician to join our healthcare facility. As a CSSD Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization, decontamination, and distribution of medical equipment and instruments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar role and possess DHA (Dubai Health Authority) eligibility or license. Male candidates are preferred for this position.

Responsibilities:
Perform cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and assembly of medical instruments and equipment following established protocols and guidelines.
Operate and maintain autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, washer disinfectors, and other CSSD equipment.
Inspect instruments and equipment for damage or defects, and report any issues to the supervisor.
Ensure proper packaging and labeling of sterilized items for distribution to various departments.
Monitor and document sterilization and decontamination processes, including time, temperature, and pressure parameters.
Maintain accurate records of instrument inventory, including tracking the usage and expiration dates.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper handling and processing of contaminated instruments and equipment.
Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Stay updated with the latest guidelines and best practices in CSSD techniques and infection control protocols.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures within the CSSD department.

Requirements:
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience as a CSSD Technician in a healthcare setting.
Possession of a valid DHA eligibility letter or DHA license is mandatory.
In-depth knowledge of CSSD techniques, sterilization processes, and infection control practices.
Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and washer disinfectors.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals from various departments.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical stamina and dexterity to lift and move heavy instrument trays or equipment.
